Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using Snap2Cal

How It Works

How does Snap2Cal work?

Upload a photo of a flyer, schedule, or invitation. Our AI reads the image, finds event details (title, date, time, location), and lets you add them to your Google Calendar with one tap.

What kinds of images work best?

Snap2Cal works best with:

  • Event flyers and posters
  • School schedules and calendars
  • Party invitations
  • Screenshots of event details
  • Sports schedules

Clear, readable images with visible dates and times get the best results.

What file types can I upload?

Images: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP. PDFs (image-based PDFs work best).

Why didn't it find all the events?

AI works best when event info is clearly visible. Try:

  • Using a clearer or higher-resolution image
  • Making sure dates and times are visible
  • Cropping to focus on the event details

Your Data & Privacy

What happens to my images?

Your images are sent to our AI service to extract event details, then immediately discarded. We don't store your images.

What calendar access does Snap2Cal have?

Snap2Cal can only add events to your calendar. We cannot read, edit, or delete your existing events.

Is my Google account safe?

Yes. We use Google's official sign-in system (OAuth 2.0). We never see your Google password. You can revoke access anytime.

How do I remove Snap2Cal's access to my account?

Visit your Google Account Permissions, find Snap2Cal, and click "Remove Access."

Using the App

Can I edit events before adding them?

Not yet—this is planned for a future update. For now, you can edit events in Google Calendar after adding them.

Can I choose which calendar to add events to?

Currently events are added to your primary Google Calendar. Multiple calendar support is coming soon.

Can I add just some of the events?

Yes! Each event has its own "Add" button. Add only the ones you want.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in button isn't working

Try refreshing the page or using a different browser. Make sure pop-ups aren't blocked.

I'm getting an error when processing my image

This can happen with very large files or unclear images. Try:

  • Using a smaller file size
  • Taking a clearer photo
  • Cropping to just the event information

Events were added with the wrong time

Snap2Cal uses your device's timezone. If times look off, check that your device timezone is set correctly.
